To create her art, Michelle finds inspiration everywhere – from childhood influences such as cartoons and pop culture from the ’80s and ’90s to the bold colors and patterns of psychedelic art from the ’60s and ’70s.
Art for her is as much a creative expression as it is therapy for the soul. Her found-object assemblages are made up of small objects she’s collected over the years just waiting to find their purpose. Each assemblage has its own theme or idea that leads to the creation of a miniature world filled with carefully-constructed details.
Michelle’s new portfolio is in the works and will be on Instagram in the near future.
