BIO

Timothy Zieger

Timothy received his formal music training through years of private trumpet instruction and the completion of a Bachelor’s of Sacred Music at Clarks Summit University. In addition to teaching guitar, trumpet, and euphonium, Tim is a church accompanist, and a regional performer. He has been an amateur songwriter for nearly as long as he has been a formal student of music, and has been featured in many local venues including WVIA’s Homegrown Music, WBRE’s PA Live!, the Old Lynn Concert series, Tunkhannock’s River Day, and the Dietrich Theater’s annual Gathering of Singer/Songwriters. Tim’s first album, entitled North Light was released in early summer, 2017, and has been well received.

While completing an M.A. from Biola University Tim spent five years as a middle school and high school teacher at Abington Christian Academy in Clarks Summit, specializing in formal and informal logic, and classical literature and philosophy. In his spare time, Tim enjoys biking, gardening, reading, adventuring with his family, coordinating the Songwriters’ Roundtable at The Gathering Place, and advocating for regional arts as a board member of Kitson Arts Alliance.
