    Summer Sessions Music Festival Returns to Old Carter Barn for Landmark
    5th Season

    TUNKHANNOCK, PA — The Summer Sessions Music Festival returns to the
    historic Old Carter Barn for its fifth season, marking a major
    milestone for one of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s most distinctive live
    music series. Produced by the Old Carter Barn Arts Initiative in
    association with the North Branch Art Trail, the 2026 Summer Sessions
    continues its tradition of showcasing a diverse array of NEPA’s finest
    musical artists—each concert highlighting a different genre, from
    classical to country, blues to bluegrass—all set in the intimate,
    lakeside setting of Old Carter Barn on the shores of Lake Carey.

    The renewed collaboration between Old Carter Barn Arts Initiative and
    North Branch Art Trail underscores a shared commitment to supporting
    regional artists, strengthening NEPA’s creative community, and
    celebrating live performance in unique and inspiring spaces.

    Housed in a beautifully restored historic barn known for its warm
    acoustics and welcoming atmosphere, Summer Sessions offers more than
    just concerts. Each evening features rotating food trucks, full bar
    service with craft beer and wine, and a relaxed summer environment
    that invites audiences to slow down, listen deeply, and connect with
    the music.

    “For five years, we’ve been evolving this series and are excited to
    bring these artists back to our stage,” says Lewis Flinn, Broadway
    composer and co-founder of Old Carter Barn Arts Initiative, who runs
    the organization alongside five-time Tony Award–nominated playwright
    Douglas Carter Beane. “These concerts put artists and their music
    first and provide a platform for audiences to really listen to their
    craft in a great, intimate setting.”

    2026 Summer Sessions Lineup

    Wednesday, July 1 Wade Preston returns to the Old Carter Barn stage
    with his electrifying Billy Joel repertoire. Having performed in the
    Broadway production Moving On, celebrating the music of Billy Joel,
    Preston brings a dynamic, crowd-pleasing performance that blends
    musical precision with infectious energy.

    Friday, July 3 Local blues legend JP Williams and his Blues Band take
    the stage for an unforgettable night of blues rock. Known throughout
    the region for his searing guitar work and soulful vocals, Williams
    delivers performances steeped in tradition, grit, and passion.

    Wednesday, July 8 The NEPA Chamber Music Society presents an elegant
    evening of classical favorites performed by their acclaimed string
    quartet. This concert highlights the festival’s stylistic breadth,
    pairing timeless repertoire with the barn’s naturally resonant
    acoustics.

    Saturday, July 11 Back by popular demand, the Joe Cirotti Trio returns
    with their signature modern bluegrass sound. Known for virtuosic
    musicianship and inventive arrangements, the trio continues to
    captivate audiences across the region and beyond.

    Wednesday, July 15 A special tribute to the historic Old Lynn Concert
    Series reunites Lorne Clark with special guests for an evening of
    Americana favorites. Long a staple of the local music scene, this
    reunion of original players promises a night rich with nostalgia,
    storytelling, and exceptional musicianship.

    Wednesday, July 22 Closing the season, Gracie Jane Sinclair and her
    band—recent winners of the regional Battle of the Bands—make their
    debut appearance at Summer Sessions. Their country-rock sound blends
    contemporary edge with classic influences, marking an exciting finale
    to the fifth season.

    Now celebrating its fifth year, Summer Sessions has become a hallmark
    of summer in Northeastern Pennsylvania—where exceptional music,
    historic surroundings, and community come together.

    Concerts begin at 6:30 PM Doors open at 5:30 PM Food trucks and bar
